These Ninjutsu training drills demonstrate the most efficient way of moving - "falling" into your next step. Sensei Roemke shows how you can practice finding your balance tipping points to move efficiently in a way that does not telegraph your intended motions to an opponent. For example, instead of first putting your weight on your right foot in order to move your left foot, you should load up your weight onto the left foot and then simply "fall" to the left, lifting the left foot to and catching yourself falling as you lift that foot off the ground (and then landing in a controlled way onto your left foot.) There are many drills for practicing this kind of basic movement, just a few are shown here. Paul helps demonstrate a san shin excercise using this method.
